RACHELE SCHMIEGE
SOPRANO
Rachele Schmiege is a graduate from the New England Conservatory and Western Michigan University. Prior to joining the Met Chorus in 2019, Rachele was a soloist with Odyssey Opera, Salt Marsh Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Columbus, Opera on the James, Pacific Opera Project, Resonance Works, Boise Philharmonic, among others in roles such as Donna Anna, Rusalka, Anne Truelove, Pamina, and Violetta.
On The Metropolitan Opera Stage, Rachele has sung the role of the Aunt in Madame Butterfly, an echo in Die Frau ohne Schatten, and has covered solos in Dialogues of the Carmelites and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. Rachele is a proud member of AGMA and is on their Board of Governors. She is also on the Board for Met Chorus Artists, Inc. and is the co-chair for MCA education and outreach events.
