NED HANLON
BASS
Ned Hanlon is a Long Island native, making his parents very happy since he moved back to New York for his job as a full time chorister at the Met in 2014.

A graduate of McGill University and the University of Michigan, Ned has performed principal roles at companies throughout North America, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Lincoln Center Theatre, Edmonton Opera, Des Moines Metropolitan Opera, the Glimmerglass Festival, and Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and has worked as both a guest entertainer and assistant cruise director at sea.

In addition to his work as a performer, Ned has had the honor of serving as the President of the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) since 2023, during which time he has spoken on arts funding at the White House, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the US Department of Labor on multiple occasions, and was named to the NY City and State 2024 Arts & Culture Power 100 List.
