MARIA D'AMATO
SOPRANO
Ms. D'Amato is a graduate of Boston University, (BM), where she studied with Penelope Bitzas and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, (MM), where she studied with Barbara Honn. She trained as a Seattle Opera Young Artist and Sarasota Opera Studio Artist.
She has performed Mimi with Sarasota, DiCapo and Ash Lawn Operas; Pamina and Desdemona with Sarasota Opera; Nannetta with Opera North; Mozart Requiem with Seattle Symphony; Carmina Burana with Eugene Ballet and the North Arkansas Symphony. At the Metropolitan Opera, she has performed solos in Two Boys, Der Rosenkavalier, Die Fledermaus, Manon Lescaut and Turandot. She is married to baritone Dimitrie Lazich and has two beautiful children, Natalie and Matteo.
