KATHLEEN FELTY

Kathleen Felty was a member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center, a Santa Fe Opera Apprentice, a Wolf Trap Filene Artist, and a resident artist with Le Fondation des Treilles and Solti Accademia.  She has returned as a principal artist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Santa Fe Opera and has made appearances as a soloist with various operas and symphonies, including Haymarket Opera Chicago, Des Moines Metro Opera, Dayton Opera, North Carolina Opera, Opera Edwardsville, Santa Fe Symphony, Idaho Falls Symphony, and Camerata Chicago.  Felty is a recipient of multiple awards at the district and regional levels of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition. 

 

A native of Lubbock, Texas, Felty received degrees in Business and Music from Texas Tech University and a Master of Music from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
