HEATHER PETRIE
MEZZO
Heather Petrie made her Met debut in 2017 as a member of the Extra Chorus, and after doing 11 operas and several concerts as such is thrilled to be part of the Regular Chorus this season! As a very busy freelance singer, she made her Carnegie Hall solo debut in 2019 and performs there frequently as a soloist and ensemble member. Heather has been a long-time member of Musica Sacra, Voices of Ascension, NY Virtuoso Singers, Essential Voices USA, as well as the choirs of the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Temple Emanu-el, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine here in NYC, and has been a chorister with Bard SummerScape since 2013. Past operatic roles include multiple witches, young men, and mean ladies. She holds degrees from SUNY Purchase and Bard College, and loves learning about trees, rocks, and anything Scottish.
