Mr. Griffin has a Bachelor of Music from Juilliard, and has held apprenticeships at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe, and Florida Grand Opera.

He has appeared as a principal artist with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival, Florida Grand Opera, L'Opéra de Montreal (concert), Cleveland Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, National Symphony of Costa Rica, Nashville Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival, Austin Symphony, and many others.
