Meet The Met Chorus Teaching Artists!

Since the stage of the Metropolitan Opera has been dark since mid-March, some of your favorite Metropolitan Opera choristers have headed online to provide voice lessons and group vocal instruction to singers all over the country. Whether you’re an amateur musician or a hopeful future professional, these talented singers can offer you top-notch vocal instruction and coaching.

Whether you are an accomplished singer or a beginning student, I am here to collaborate with you and offer you my considerable wealth of knowledge and expertise. I am a two-time Grammy award-winning artist and have been a member of the full-time Metropolitan Opera Chorus for the past 23 seasons. Prior to joining the Met Chorus, I had both a private studio and was an adjunct voice professor at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in their Musical Theater conservatory program.  Since joining the chorus I’ve been a guest teaching artist at the Eastman School of Music and The Boston Conservatory. I approach teaching as a privilege and honor. Let me help you reach your personal vocal potential.

“All in One” with Belinda

Since the Pandemic, many artists have been steered in another direction.  After 20 years of being a member of the renowned Metropolitan Opera Chorus with numerous singing and acting roles, as well as performing as a traveling principal artist prior to joining the Metropolitan Opera, I want to help you to be your best!  Recognized for my acting as well as singing, I will guide you to find the character and depth needed for each role, and help refine diction and fluid vocal line.

Welcome to my voice studio! I am an Iowa Native who grew up to become an opera singer in New York City, and the Metropolitan Opera has been my musical home for the past 13 years. Music opened my world when I was young, and it is my joy to now teach and inspire other singers who wish to find and refine their true voice. Zoom has opened the door to teaching students outside of the New York City area, and it has been a wonderful to connect with singers from around the country. If you are a person who loves to sing and wishes to go deeper in your expressive and technical abilities, I look forward to talking with you!
